Commuters on E Florida Ave can finally ditch the potholes between S University Blvd and S Steele St.
The city has finished resurfacing this stretch of road, improving the daily drive for residents and students moving through the 80211 zip code.
The project, managed by Lukas Schroeder, focused on the segment of E Florida Ave connecting S University Blvd to S Steele St. Work began in early 2020 and concluded by the end of that year. While the project records do not list the total cost or the exact tonnage of asphalt used, the work removes old wear and tear from one of the neighborhood's key east-west corridors.
